The Zero Valent Iron reaction neutralizes groundwater contaminants via precipitation, degradation, adsorption, or reduction. For environmental applications, Permeable Reactive Barrier (PRB) columns containing zero valent iron media intercept and mitigate plumes of contaminated groundwater.
