Cd – Cadmium
In water, dissolved ionic Cadmium is reduced by ZVI to immobile, elemental cadmium. Once reduced, elemental cadmium is bound to the ZVI matrix by cementation and does not re-enter the water stream. Because ZVIS medium has a vast number of reaction and cementation sites, aqueous cadmium is efficiently removed from water.
