A common byproduct of consumer septic systems and some industrial activities, phosphorus contamination can be a dire threat to estuarine water systems. Our Zero Valent Iron (ZVI) process has resulted in the successful remediation of phosphorus contamination. Upon reaction with the ZVI, phosphorus precipitates out of the water and adheres to the surface of the media, allowing treated water to flow safely back into the environment.
